The Kennebec River in Maine offers whitewater rafting adventure for fanatics to families. It's not long after we launch our rafts before the speed of the river begins to pick up and the waters begin to churn white. As we enter the steep granite walls of the Kennebec Gorge large waves can be seen ahead. From this point on the river plunges 12 miles through the gorge creating crashing wave rapids like "Big Mama", "Whitewasher" and "The Alleyway". The high point of the day is the run through class V Magic Falls. We stop briefly at the Middle River access point to pick up younger passengers. Rapids continue through out the day. There is plenty of time for swimming and enjoying the river including stopping along the river bank for a steak and chicken barbeque .
River Fact: The Kennebec River in Maine flows 7 days a week all season long. The river temperature is known to reach into the high 60s by mid July.
Kennebec River Row Frame Trip
A Guided Row Frame trip allows you to experience all the thrills and excitement of rafting in Maine's Kennebec Gorge with out the risk. Our expert Maine White Water Guides row you through all the big whitewater and waves. You can paddle if you like or just hold on and enjoy the spectacular Kennebec Gorge. A fun and safe way enjoy this mighty river for younger rafters ages 7-11.

Kennebec Middle River Family Fun !
The Middle Kennebec is perfect for younger or less adventurous rafters to join the Kennebec Gorge trip. There are many fun and exciting class III+ rapids. The scenery is spectacular with plenty of opportunities for swimming and enjoying this classic Maine River. A sizzling steak and chicken BBQ is served riverside.

Maine Kennebec River 2 Day Super Trip !
Two days, of Maine adventure, inflatable whitewater rafting, funyaking, and a float plane moose safari. On the first day, we funyak (inflatable kayak) the challenging class II and III whitewater rapids on the Middle Kennebec River. Along the trip we stop for lunch and a hike to MOXIE FALLS Maine's highest waterfall. After the day on the Middle Kennebec River we return to Lake Moxie Camps. Next we board a float plane for a moose safari and scenic tour of the Maine's Kennebec River Valley. You will see Moxie Falls, the Appalachian Mountains and maybe the mighty Maine Moose. The second day of this whitewater adventure we whitewater raft the thundering class IV+ whitewater rapids of the Kennebec Gorge! Trips are conducted by Maine Whitewater Guides.
