Moxie Falls Hiking / V Canoe Trip

Moxie Falls Hiking / V Canoe Trip

Overview

Your day starts with a guided hike to Maine's highest waterfall Moxie Falls. Moxie Falls drops 90' into a series of large pools on it's way to the Kennebec River. There are several scenic overlooks to view the falls from. The hike is moderate and fun for all ages on hot days we enjoy a swim in one of the many pools. The afternoon is spent paddling down the historic Kennebec River in our 10 person Voyageur Canoes, or if you prefer you can float in a raft. Voyageur is a french word which literally means "traveler". These 10+ person canoes were used over a century ago to move goods and people on the waterways of North America. Your guides will fill you with stories of Benedict Arnolds historic march up the Kennebec River, tales of the loggers rafting logs down the river and the bygone days of sporting camps and railroads that brought sports to this region for fishing, huntinh and clean fresh air.

This is a great way to experience two of Maine's most beautiful places.
