We offer whitewater raft rentals for the experienced paddler who would like to guide their own whitewater rafting trip. Moxie Outdoor Adventures rents both rafts and inflatable kayaks. We offer the “ Hassle Free Rafting Experience” Our staff will bring your raft to the dam, greet you, assist you with your pfds, helmets, and paddles collect all unused equipment and pick the raft and gear up at the end of your river day! To insure your safety Moxie Outdoor Adventures, INC. reserves the right to, adjust raft size or cancel any raft rental due to unexpected water levels and conditions . Any such adjustments or cancellations would be refunded according to the difference in price. We do not rent rafts on the Kennebec River above 8000 cfs, on the Dead River above 10,000 cfs. River levels are determined daily at 6:00 pm call 844-430-3569
Aire, NRS & Star rafts available for rental:
13′ self bailing raft: (7 people max) ……$250.00 per day
14' self bailing raft: (8 people max) ……$250.00 per day
16′ self bailing raft: (10 people max) ….$250.00 per day
14'-16' raft with rowing frame rentals $300.00
Aire Inflatable Kayaks available for rental: $90.00 per day
* Whitewater Raft Rentals include: raft drop off at the dam and pick up at the take out paddles, pfds, and helmets for all participants.
Wetsuit rentals available upon request for $25.00 for a full suit with booties.
Reservations: Reservations should be made in advance for all whitewater equipment rentals. Cancellations must be done at least 5 days prior to the trip date to receive a full refund. Reservations made within 7 days of trip date are non-refundable. All raft renters must fill out a raft rental agreement form. Equipment rental deposit is required on a major credit card for all whitewater inflatables, this is $300.00 (credit card authorization only) per boat. All rafts must be returned at the take out by 5:00pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Any rafts arriving after 5:00pm will be accessed a $25.00 per hour late fee.
Lost or damaged equipment charges:
PFD: $100.00
Helmet: $30.00
Paddle: $30.00
Raft repair is based on $65.00 per hour + materials
Once the boat has been brought to the dam you will be charged $100.00 if you cancel your reservation last minute.
Raft rentals will be at the put-ins by 9:30 am.
Dam releases begin at 10am. Rentals are due off the water by 4pm sharp! $50.00 per hope after 4:00

From Points South:
I-95 North to Exit 133 in Fairfield, Maine. Follow Rte 201 North 65 miles to The Forks. Pass through Skowhegan and then Bingham (23 miles to The Forks). Once you reach The Forks look for our signs. The first one you will see is our office sign continue past for seven miles you will see our blue sign and the bridge crossing the Kennebec River. Take the right BEFORE THE BRIDGE turn onto the Moxie Road. DO NOT CROSS THE BRIDGE follow the Moxie road for 5 miles it will end at Lake Moxie look for the second blue sign. Turn left onto the dirt road go 8 miles to Harris Station Indian Pond. We will meet you there with your raft PFS and paddles.
From Points North:
Take I-95 south to Exit 157 in Newport. Take Rte 2 West to Skowhegan. In Skowhegan take Rte 201 North. Pass through Skowhegan and then Bingham (23 miles to The Forks). Once you reach The Forks look for our signs. The first one you will see is our office sign continue past for seven miles you will see our blue sign and the bridge crossing the Kennebec River. Take the right turn BEFORE THE BRIDGE onto the Moxie Road. DO NOT CROSS THE BRIDGE follow the Moxie Outdoor Adventures road for 5 miles it will end at Lake Moxie look for the second blue sign. turn right onto the dirt road go .2 miles we you will see us on the left.
Raft rentals are brought to Harris Station with our put in crew, by 9:30 am.
Dam releases begin at 10am.
Rentals are due off the water by 4 pm sharp!
