Itinerary

Check in starts – 8:30am

8:30am-9:30am: Check in begins. Waiver release forms are signed, gear is issued and we meet in front of the base lodge. Once all guests have arrived, your group will be given an orientation/safety lecture by our trip leader in the meeting area. Safety techniques and helpful hints are the main topics to be discussed. After the "safety talk" we will assign you a guide, rent wetsuits if needed, check your gear (personal flotation devices & paddles) and get ready to board the bus shuttle to the river.

9:45am-10-15am: Depending on dam release schedules we depart for the river!  It is approximately 40/50 minute drive through the wilderness to the raft put-in. Your guides will give you one last safety equipment check and paddling instructions before we launch our rafts.

10:30am-3:30pm: Raft the thrilling  16 miles of continuous class II & III whitewater. This rafting trip is fun, fast and furious. The wilderness setting and outstanding whitewater rafting make the Dead River one of New England’s premier whitewater runs. We pull off riverside to enjoy a riverside picnic lunch before finishing the trip and shuttling back to base for a video show of your day on the river. Trip finishes up around 4 pm.
